Crash avoidance for P-Platers

Learning to drive doesn't just finish when a learner driver gets their P's. In the first few months to a year driving independently, driving habits are formed that stay for life.
That's why Allan Miller Driving School believes it's critical to polish up driving skills through a defensive driving course while young drivers are still learning and have the benefit of some on-road solo driving experience.
Course content:

  • Risk factors, crash stats & positive/negative attitudes
  • Anticipation & hazard perception/avoidance
  • Stopping distances, reaction times and braking
  • Safety margins and defensive driving practices
  • Extensive hills & country drive
  • Comprehensive city & traffic drive

Where: Lonsdale, Cavan or participating high schools
When: Regular evening and weekend theory sessions held. Practical sessions by appointment.
Duration: 1 x 2 hour theory session and 2 x 1.5 hour practical sessions.
